We start with a free consultation to review your health history and assess risk factors. You’ll learn if you qualify for the pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPV23) or conjugate vaccine (PCV).
If eligible, you receive one dose of PPV23 at age sixty-five or older. Those with long-term conditions may need a single dose or repeat dose every five years.
Our pharmacist delivers the injection subcutaneously and observes you for fifteen minutes to ensure you have no adverse reactions. We schedule follow-up doses if required.

Most people feel minor soreness or redness at the injection site. You might experience low-grade fever or headache. These usually clear within two days.
