How does this service work?
You book a convenient appointment in Fulham. We confirm your details, answer questions, and explain what to expect. We also discuss your eligibility for a free NHS vaccination if you are pregnant or aged 75 to 79.
Your vaccinator gives a single injection into the upper arm. Most people are finished in minutes. You can usually get the RSV vaccine all year, so you do not need to wait for a specific season.
If you are pregnant, the vaccine is recommended from 28 weeks in every pregnancy. This helps protect your baby for the first months after birth, when illness can be most serious. Older adults usually need one dose for several years of protection.
Some pharmacies in selected regions provide free NHS RSV vaccinations. In London many people are invited via their GP. We will advise on local options and arrange the most suitable route for you.
Who is eligible and when to book
If you are 28 weeks pregnant or more, you are eligible and should book as soon as you reach 28 weeks. People aged 75 to 79, and those who turned 80 after 1 September 2024, are also eligible.
- Pregnancy from 28 weeks
- Age 75 to 79
- Turned 80 after 1 September 2024
Plan a short, calm day with no heavy lifting after your jab. Wear a short sleeve top for easy access to your upper arm. Bring any vaccine records. Tell us about allergies, recent illness, or previous reactions.

What our patients say
Booked for my mum. She is 76 and usually anxious. The pharmacist explained everything and it was over quickly. Very professional service.
Efficient, kind and informative. They checked eligibility and helped us choose the right time. Great local clinic for older relatives.
My GP wait was long so I tried here. Straightforward booking, friendly staff, and useful tips for the day after. Thank you.
Most side effects are mild and short lived, like a sore arm, headache, or aches. Severe allergic reactions are very rare and staff are trained to treat them immediately.
Pregnancy vaccines can be given at the same visit. Older adults may have RSV with other vaccines when a clinician agrees it is needed.
Older adults usually need one dose. If you are pregnant, have the vaccine in every pregnancy to protect each baby.
Book from 28 weeks as early as you can. This gives the best protection for your baby in the first months after birth.
Yes. RSV vaccination is offered throughout the year, not only in winter months.
Those eligible include pregnancy from 28 weeks, people aged 75 to 79, and people who turned 80 after 1 September 2024.
Evidence shows strong protection against hospitalisation in older people and in newborns after maternal vaccination from 14 days before birth.
