Why vaccination matters this winter

Fulham Palace Pharmacy provides Covid and flu vaccinations to eligible adults and children. Vaccines lower the risk of serious illness, hospital admission and long recovery. This is especially important for older people, pregnant people and those with long term conditions.

Most eligible adults can book from 1 October. Some groups, including anyone who is pregnant, may be offered flu vaccination from 1 September. Covid appointments also begin from 1 October through local services like community pharmacies.

Flu vaccination is offered to children aged two to sixteen, with many receiving a nasal spray at school. Children in clinical risk groups and pregnant people are also eligible. Protecting children helps cut spread to older relatives.

Covid vaccination this autumn is offered to adults aged seventy five and over, care home residents and people who are immunosuppressed from six months of age. Your clinician will advise on timing if you have recently been unwell.
